Powerhouse Green Juice
Whenever I feel the need for an immunity boost- not to mention a great way to get some extra greens into my diet, I make this juice. The spice of the ginger and the way the citrus cuts the slight bitterness of the rainbow chard is divine. I think what my body craves the most from this juice is the ginger and the digestive benefits that it holds. If I drink this juice 15-20 minutes before breakfast, I feel as if my digestion is greatly improved and I am able to absorb more nutrients from the food I eat. Alternatively this juice can be your breakfast if you occasionally like to intermittent fast.
Ingredients:
- 1 lime, peeled and quartered
- 2 lemons, peeled and quartered
- 1-2 inch piece of fresh ginger
- 3 carrots, peeled
- 4-5 stalks of rainbow chard (or kale of your choice)
- 8 celery stalks
